Light Bandit: June 2013

Trikkie (her nickname) is turning 89 in few months' time. It was a paid assignment for me, recording her life & home. She got up early, at 5am, anticipating our arrival. We reached her house a little past 8am. Speaking in perfect English, she was happy to share part of her life stories with me, a little about WWII and many about the early years of Singapore. She is writing her 2nd book at the moment, using ipad connected to a bluetooth keyboard. Her first book, The Many Layered Skirt was told by author Marlene F. Cheng was published in Canada. The second one, is more personal, would probably see the light after when she's gone. Before we left, she had her helper cooked for everyone a simple meal, which was surprisingly delicious. More of that and the rest later.
